Matt Muller, PhD
Director of Applied Innovation, Baxter

A Baxter veteran for more than 20 years, Matt leads innovation strategy for the Renal Care business, which contributes more than $1.1B in annual revenue, and is responsible for an R&D budget of approximately $45M.  He frequently serves as lead engineer on Baxter's most complex development programs and manages teams of engineers and scientists across the company's global footprint.

Based in Bangalore, India, Venkat represents Baxter’s external innovation arm, where he scouts for technologies and startups of strategic interest to Baxter’s businesses globally. Prior to Baxter, Venkat led a team of engineers at Boston Scientific focused on innovation opportunities in the Asia Pacific markets and worked as a translational researcher at Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology.
